New Truck thoughts for 2011 Eagle

Just announced: Colorado is Motor Trend Truck of the Year for 2nd straight year. It handily beat out the Tacoma. http://www.motortrend.com/news/2016-chevrolet-colorado-is-the-motor-trend-truck-of-the-year/ One interesting thing I noted from the article. You can order it with the bed deleted...

New Truck thoughts for 2011 Eagle

Consumer reports is the most biased publication I have ever read. They never report honestly in my opinion. I have owned products that they claim are the best, and they turned out to be the worst, and vice versa. How can they claim the Colorado as being unreliable when it hasn't even been out a...

New Truck thoughts for 2011 Eagle

The four door crew cab is available with the 6 foot bed. I've seen several of them. It seems to be popular here in Texas.

New Truck thoughts for 2011 Eagle

I would take a hard look at the Colorado. There is a reason it is the Motor Trend truck of the year. It exceeds and outperforms the Tacoma in almost every aspect. With the new diesel option coming out, it will tow over 7000 lbs and get over 30 mpg. Plus, the new Colorado has a way better payload...

    ATC Roof Question

I am still researching my camper purchase, and have a question. Four Wheel uses a one piece roof, while the All Terrain has numerous screws drilled into the roof. How well does the ATC roof hold up? Would I have to reseal every single screw periodically? Does this design make the roof more prone...

Curious if anyone has looked at the new Colorado or Canyon?

Has anyone tried to mount a camper to the new Colorado? How is the fit? I read that the new Colorado has a 1500 lb. payload. Should handle the weight without a problem. Just curious if that protrusion in the bed is an issue or not.

Stan, come on over to Texas! We are very business friendly, plus low cost of living. Also, half the vehicles in Texas are pickups, so you've got millions of potential customers!

Curious if anyone has looked at the new Colorado or Canyon?

I just saw a new Colorado. Bad to the bone. It is the best midsized truck on the market. I did though notice a potential problem with the truck when it comes to hauling a camper. There is a protrusion into the front left of the bed that looks like where the fuel neck is routed. This appears...

    New 2015 Chevy Colorado

New releases on the 2015 Colorado show it to be a class leader against all the competition. Best in class towing, horsepower, and payload. Fuel economy numbers have not been released, but gm promises best in class mpg. I know that there is a lot of people here that swear by the Tacoma, but I...

    Truck Camper Magazine Modification Contest.

I saw the mod winners on TCM, and it all looks great. Where was ski3pin's build? He should have been there for sure. I never see anything on TCM regarding ATC. Is that due to a lack of advertising sponsorship?

    Aliner truck camper

That's really neat. If they made one of those with a cabover bed area, it would be really cool.

Placing the Order for a Grandby

I'm looking forward to seeing pics of your new camper Longhorn. I'm going to wait till your report on the portable ac unit before I order mine. If it works good, then I won't be ordering the expensive window unit option

    New ATC Ocelot Shell Buildout

How did you attach the cabinet frame to the camper? Did you screw into the aluminum frame studs or the wood wheel well or both?

'15 gmc 2500hd first time out

Very nice pickup Mongo. Is it gas or Duramax? I have always been a GM guy, I have a 2004 Silverado now, but am ready for a new truck. I love the style of the new Silverados, but am extremely disappointed at GM for their gas engine offering in the HD's. They are continuing to use the same 6.0...

A Nice Surprise for Nissan Owners

Sorry to stray from the topic, but just had a simple question that I didn't think would warrant a new thread. How does the standard sofa on an ATC fold out to a bed? It doesn't appear to be a rollover type. Does anyone have pics of it laid out and also of the storage underneath? Thanks?

I would love to see those pics, but they are not pulling up for some reason. Not Android compatible, maybe?

    Anyone With "Drymesh" Experience?

I'm assuming that since under mattress condensation is an issue, FWC does not have the block foam insulation built into the cabover portion? If not, I'm surprised that they do not do this since the rest of the hard walls have it.

    Placed My Grandby Order

Longhorn, when you get your camper, would you mind posting a report on how the portable ac works out? I'm interested in how you rig the exhaust hose. I'm going to order soon, I really like the front dinette, but can't go without an ac in Texas. If it works good for you, I might go ahead and get...

First look at the Hawk Ute Flatbed

Speaking of underbed storage, it would be nice if FWC would offer that on the standard models. Anyone think they will do that in the future?

Which truck to buy for Four Wheel Hawk Camper

Wanted to chime in again on this. I started thinking about a couple of years ago when I had a 1/2 ton Chevy. When I moved a while back, I had my 900 lb. Harley Davidson in the bed of the truck. I also had my wife, kid, and a lot of clothes in the cab. The truck didn't squat and it drove like...
