Anyone replaced front dinette table with Lagun hardware?

I changed to the Lagun Hardware and could not be happier. It has more precise movement and saves space. It also makes converting the table to a bed much easier.

Want to replace MPPT and battery monitor, mounting issues

Ditto on what BlueSky did. I traced my Zamp controller's outline on clear plastic from HD. I used the mounting screws furnished by Zamp to keep the look consistent. I chose to spray the cabinet side of the plastic with black primer. The plastic looks black but spraying the back leaves a smooth...

Lift Panel Dimensions Needed - Help In The Texas Area?

Hey Fred, I own a 2017 Grandby with front dinette. Dimensions may vary by model… Each of my lift panels consist of two rectangular panels made of some synthetic material and attached to the camper and to each other by three spring loaded hinges. Upper panel: Approx, 60 by 14 inches.The...

    Lithium Battery

Ditto what Charlie said regarding percent used each day. In my case, I added 6awg wire from truck to camper and a Zamp 90w solar panel for a total of 250w . With my DC to DC charge I can top off the camper battery in about 30 minutes. I also use an 80w portable panel if there is shade on the...

    Anza-Borrego Desert

After the FWC rally, several us stayed 2 days in Little Blair Valley.. Wonderful location. Plenty of spaces to choose from. Similar to the Alabama Hills in some ways. You will be able to see other visitors, but they won't be right on top of you. Most locations are able to support several...

    Electrical issues

Have you checked the voltage of your camper batteries? I read somewhere that low battery voltage will create the noise you are describing. The thermal fuse requires a certain voltage to operate. If the voltage is low, it will cycle back and forth trying to establish a connection. Just a...

    Shunt wiring question

I did this when I installed the Victron 712 unit in my truck. With the truck not running ,the voltage difference between the 712 display of the truck battery and the actual voltage measured at the truck battery was interesting. I assume this is explained at least in part by the voltage lost over...

    Shunt wiring question

Outnabout, For what it is worth, I appreciate the ability to monitor my battery charging on my cell phone while driving using the bluetooth feature of the Victron 712.

Mounting a Second Solar Panel On a Hawk

Phil, I know he used 1/8th aluminum angle bar from a box store to mount the panel to the tracks. He called Zamp asking if the lower height would be a problem with heat. They told him not to worry. There is plenty of ventilation. Dan I will ask him to send a photo...

Mounting a Second Solar Panel On a Hawk

FWI A friend added a second panel to his Hawk camper. He bought a 90w panel from Zamp. In addition Zamp sent a "y" cord with the panel. This made the second panel plug and play. I have seen the camper in action and the second panel really helps with power. I am considering doing the same. I own...

New Grandby on F350- much work needed to get ready?

Congrats on the new rig. You will not regret your decision. My rig is similar to yours.. 2017 Grandby and 2017 F350 gas CC. I have no complaints with the stock suspension or power plant. I did however add two upgrades. Rock sliders to protect the body and better off road tires. The stock off...

Inflation, Deflation, Viair 300p,400p vs ?, Staun, ARB vs ? Any info appreciated.

x2 on the Vlair- 400 series with 100% duty cycle. I have the one with the longer hose. No need to reposition the compressor to reach the rear tires on my F350 with an eight foot bed. I have the ARB deflator. I found it difficult to use ... could be user error. Instead, I use just the handle and...

trying to pick the ideal truck to match a FWC

Doff, I faced a similar decision to yours a few years ago. I bought a custom ordered F350 4x4 CC gasser with an 8' bed. Here are my reasons: Grandby with front dinette loaded for camping weighs just short of 2000lbs. While the F250 would have handled the weight, for $1000 difference in price...

Still interested. Feb 24-28th will work for me as would the week before. I will also be skirting the water if it is higher than allowed for my 350.

    Mojave Road

I am interested if you room for one more. I have a full sized truck with a FWC Grandby. I am reading the Mojave Road Guide. Looks interesting and a little concerning at the same time. Not interested in the water crossing as noted in previous posts. Ford does not recommend crossing water deeper...

1/2 ton or 3/4 ton, what are most people using for their FWC?

Self contained Grandby on a 2017 F350 4x4 gasser full time. Not my daily driver so I was not too concerned by mpg. Still, I get nearly 12mpg on the highway at 65mph. My two cents.

    Air conditioner circuit

Thanks Dean, I am going to pull the vent cover beneath the water pump access door to determine if there is wire leaving the AC circuit breaker. Depending on what I find I will go from there. You might be correct about the amp draw being too great even on two separate breakers. Thanks again. Dan
