Finally getting back to my FWC project. Currently working on the roof. New Headliner, new insulation, new roof, new lift panels. Currently have the new headliner glued together, and the frame stripped staring in my face in my living room. Hoping that after the ensuing staring contest, I will...

Don’t I know it. My wife is an aesthetician, so her inventory of products are plentiful. She always tells me the cost of the product that she is using on one of my back pimples, and it is mind boggling.

MX hauler comes with a threaded end on the hitch pin. You can eliminate a lot of the wobble by tightening down the pin.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West FWC Hawk Question

Since my FWC is pretty light, I have not thought twice about using the MX hauler. I do know that adding an extension would put more torque on the towing package. I have been considering it since this thread came up though. Stop for the night. Remove hitch pin, shuffle rack/bike out to...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West FWC Hawk Question

My MX hauler gets pretty low, but I do have to lift the moto occasionally to get it up on the rack. Good for maintenance (tire changing etc...). You can always park in a way to make the hauler lower to the ground. I have no complaints with it, It comes in handy. Especially if your buddy want...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West FWC Hawk Question

First time I have seen the moto mule. That’s 3 different companies basically making the same product. I also loop a soft tie down through the fork and strap it down to a different park of the frame underneath the truck to mitigate some of the rocking.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West FWC Hawk Question

I would guess no. Maybe lowering the bike to the ground. Maybe. My friends hawk is shorter than my fleet, and he doesn’t push his all the way to the back of the truck bed. So maybe.... Maybe getting an extended hitch attachment, and use it only to slide the bike back to enter, then pushing...

I always thought having some miniature foldable binders would be cool. These things are way overkill, but maybe there is something out there similar. https://www.peerlesschain.com/products/QuikBinder-Plus-Ratchet-Loadbinders/ Search for “Rachet Turnbuckles”

Old Fleet so 90” long by 78” wide. I am sure when I put water, food, Cooking box, etc... It will start to add up. But as soon and my wife and daughter start filling it up with tons of clothes, books and skin care products it will all average out. I will try and list a few of the reasons, I...

I guess we have enough guesses. The scale read 6360-6380 So entirely empty. I am coming in below 800 lbs. I think that is pretty good. But have never really calculated all other camping supplies weight. I have always been able to throw everything I needed in a action packer, cooler and a...

So the time has come to finally weigh this thing. I took a trip to the dump to drop off all of the waste that I had left over from the build. And weighed my truck on the way out. 2005 Tundra Double Cab relatively empty (with tailgate) 5580-5600 lbs. I will take the the tailgate off the...

I have already installed a quick disconnect for the stove I will eventually purchase one of these 2 burner propane stoves. These Partner stoves are awesome, and I have been wanting one for my Rafting setup, so this gives me another reason to purchase one, (when they go on sale).
