RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Four Wheel Campers Used Buyers Guide

With peer to peer payment rails such as Venmo, it would seem that all the fuss and distrust of cashier's checks and juggling pre approved payments between banks (9-5, M-F only) would be a thing of the past. Prior to purchase, have both parties download Venmo (or similar app) and at time of sale...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Auxiliary or Driving Lights Mounted to Cabover Overhang?

As an aside, if you're bombing around at night with an overhead array glaring, and encounter fog, dense dust, or worst of all, snow you WILL instantly be driving half blind.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Lift Panel Design Question

Is there an after market add on for increasing mechanical advantage to the front panel push rod? A dual moving pivot would greatly reduce the energy required to ram the rod (think praying mantis arm).

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Freshwater All Metal Drain Valve Replacement Parts and Pics

The plastic spigot looks like a cheap after thought on an otherwise top notch camper. The handle snapped off when I tried to close on in 30 degree weather and another spigot leaked. After I replaced it and did a biopsy, the plastic had been scored by sand or something. Imagine, a FWC being used...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Backup camera

Ronin, Nevada City here. I too, use the license plate bracket and after playing around with various attachment points, I think it probably makes the most sense. I'd rather have a better perspective when backing into a trailer hitch, but other attachment points have their own compromises.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Backup camera

Lobster- That is exactly how I have the camera mounted now. It gets blinded by the license plate lights and doesn't provide the depth perception I need/want for backing into a trailer hitch. I'd like to get it up higher, but no place jumps out as a reasonable spot.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Backup camera

Where is the best place to mount a camera to replace the stock tailgate cam on a Tundra? Mounting on the license plate provides little if any depth perception and the license plate lights blind it. Middle of the Hawk's door seems like the best spot but requires the wires to flex - not sure if...

Fantastic information!! Thank you so much. I won't bother buying/installing Yak Tracks for now. Been a member of this board for about three hours and it is already a favorite. Lots of great information.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Solar panel vs Space Case

We have the big FWC solar panel and are considering adding a Yakima Space Case. Does the case block the panel so much as to seriously cut down on charging rate?

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Hawk Tundra Turnbuckles

Is there an easier, better way to tie the camper to the bed other than using standard turnbuckles? My shoulders are shot and it is nearly impossible for me to squirm around enough to secure the buckles.
