2005 Eagle water pump question

Just bought a used Eagle and the water pump is touch and go. Last night it wouldn't pull the water and we messed with the hose and eventually it pumped the water and was fine the rest of the night. This AM we woke up and it wouldn't pump water again...this time I could see the water in the hose under the sink but it wouldn't pump the water. I don't know much about this kind of stuff and am trying to trouble shoot this as best as I can.

without knowing much about your setup I would say try adjusting the pressure adjustment screw if the pump is not staying on. If its a shurflo pump it is the middle screw on the top of the pump.
You can also build pressure in the system by covering the faucet with your finger and running the pump. If you describe the symptoms of the pump I may be able to help more.
