(answered own question and updated, but will leave post here as I am sure other questions will come up)

I recently picked up a 2005 Hawk to put on my 2015 Tundra. Will use this thread to ask what I assume will be many questions. We have had various camper trailers for 20 years, so I am familiar with typical systems, solar, etc.

The truck bed already has a 12v Andersen connector setup for various things, so I'm replacing the existing camper-to-truck plug with an Andersen connector. I'd assumed this plug would read 12 volts, but it is not.

Original question was whether or not this should be reading 12 volts. But after some more research I confirmed there is a SurePower 1314 isolator installed in the space below the thermostat that I believe will separate the batteries unless the truck is charging.
