'84 8' Caobover complete rebuild

Got the wife out for a camper test drive. A nice spot near the Ct River. Wife did well, I'll keep her another 25yrs :)
Camper is working out real well, I need to get hot on finishing the interior. The lack of counter space and cabinet doors makes for lots of juggling of stuff. The countertop will be pretty big when done, 2'x8', but the 1/2 over the ARB fridge is missing, so we end up using the fridge lid as a counter, which is an obvious issue when the Pale Ale is empty.

you have a very understanding wife Ripper

here's a link for latches and catches

pinch latches for the uppers

BTW....don't use any pulls or latches with protruding ends.....they catch the pleats in cargo shorts pockets nicely...ugh

Cabinetwork in Alaskans is an interesting undertaking.....

secure your storeage containers first...and reverse engineer the shelving and the drawers to your use of them...there are some real nice snap top containers with ring seals and catches...makes for storing a myriad of kitchen stocks easy and dry.

nesting bowls and I think they still make cuisinart nesting cookware?...real nice stainless steel set with removable handles and a storage bag.

heres one nesting set

make sure if you get a set that it's 18-10 stainless

Make wifee happy in the camper and all will be happy in the camper

you've done a real bang up job on the camper....enjoy it

She does put up with a lot of nonsense, I spend a ton of money on hobbies.
Thanks for the links, I plan on using those push/ pull latches that recess flush until you push the button. They are on the top row of the second link you posted. Expensive and plastic every where I look

I can't believe they get that kind of money for a latch and don't include mounting screws...really pathetic

you can get brass/stainless/chrome in good quality but you think these are expensive....

Before you order your hardware the best replicas and prices were from Lee Valley, they have some unique things as well, worth the look.
