A new guy with a 10' cab over.

Looks great! 3200 miles sounds like a fun vacation, I must've missed it; where are you off to?

Too hot for me today. All I did was modify a step stool to use as steps. I cut to hoop off the top and reattached it at a right angle so it would clear the door. The OD green is the only paint I had on the shelf.

This camper had no storage for propane tanks. The PO used to set it on the floor when traveling. That's not an option. I want the fridge to work when driving. One 20# tank was going to block my tail lights so I went with 2 10s.

A couple of pieces of scrap steel and a couple of 3/4 X 9 T-bolt clamps made the mounts.

And they are plumbed, installed and ready to go.

Another project I've been avoiding was cleaning up the greasy, nasty slide tracks. They were pretty gross. Several liberal applications of degreaser and a scrub brush did wonders.

That made the whole camper look cleaner.

The last small project was relocating the license plate. I'm going to be using a cargo carrier to hold a popup canopy and a few chairs. That was going to block the license plate, so I moved it up to the back of the camper. That meant installing a license plate light as well.

My Alaskan is newer, but still a work in progress.
I put a compressor refrig in it very recently..... Trying now to find time to wire it up and trim it out.

I'm enjoying your progress/projects. Thanks for posting!

Great job on restoring your gem. You'll love the Alaskan. I have a 1993. Took it to the factory and got all the weatherstriping replaced and rebuilt all four old cylinders. Thinking I might move to the newer larger diameter ones. The wardrobe side has a cutout that looks to have enough clearance but the one next to the stove will definitely need enlargement. Welcome. I am new also but this site has been a great find for information.
