Went up to Woodland to the FWC factory and got an air conditioner installed in my Hawk. In case you want to see a finished install here are pictures. Full size pictures are on my Smugmug page. The unit is hardwired to the circuit breakers. The techs put cabinetry around the inner part to make it fit in and hide the brackets. Pretty slick. Now I can make those summer trips and won't bake if I choose to RV in a hot area.

Looks good. May I ask what you use the box below the Air Conditioner for?

I use it for my Diesel additives/funnel that I do not want in the camper. And I have a pair of Ramble RV Levelers in there as well. Aluminum box is by Pit Posse with a mickey mouse lid that I put together,

Does any one have experience with the little Mighty Cool MW1 portable cooler? http://swampy.net/wb.html It weighs only 3.72 pounds (dry - must add water), and takes only .8 to 1.7 amp of 12 volt, depending on speed.

I like this idea, since it is portable, and could be used anywhere, even on your back patio to blow cool right on you. Also, I like that is so small and light.
