I'm curious how you align your Alaskan Camper when loading it on your truck. I solved
that problem by bolting oak runners along the bottom of the camper on each side.
They have an eighth of an inch clearance on each side of the wheel wells inside
the bed. This seems to work quite well for me.

My 8' CO has to be blocked up for the CO to clear the cab so I have 3x3's bolted to the camper floor from side to side. After setting the camper in the bed I drop a 4' 2x4 between the wheel wells and the sides and then moderately tighten the chain and turnbuckles I use on all four corners. This allows the camper some movement which has worked well for me so far, including some fairly vigourus 4 wheelin'. I know some other owners subscribe to the "Lock it down and bolt it to the floor" method.
