I live and work in Oxnard. I have a FWC Hawk, shell model. My camper is almost 2 years old. My truck is a white 2003 Chevrolet, 2500HD, extended cab. I am really happy with my truck and camper; love to go camping, love the desert.

Happy Camping,
Claudia

Carpinteria's weather rusts my outside small screws and this June gloom is getting to me but the desert is a little hot for me this time of year. I think I will head to Montana and do some fishing and climbing with my brother.

well its been raining like cats and dog here in mt. nearly 6" in the last month!

camelracer,

Sounds cool, a gathering..I was just up in your neck of the woods last weekend at Refugio, not really my cup of tea but the kids had a blast..they really stack em in that place!
There was another four wheel up there, a Hawk from ventura.. Paul had a very very nice rig..

Yeah 5speed, the gloom is in effect, and it is hard on all surfaces..inside and out! price you pay for living at the beach, wouldn't trade...

Heading to Jalama either Sunday night or Monday morning. Great place during the week, generally not to crowded. Good surf and the fishing isn't bad.

We've had lots of wind the last 2 days

FYI...Before you head to Jalama, check the weather as we've very strong, cold winds Tuesday and Wednesday in Lompoc and Santa Maria and I know Jalama can be at least as bad. I haven't check the long range forecasts.

I've been going to jalama for many years and know what you mean about the weather. Was there about a month ago and it blew day and night, 25-35 knts. Still, rather be sitting on the beach than at the office. Thanks for the heads up.

Jamala sounds interesting. If this nice weather holds I might head up there next week. I've lived in this area 29 years and never been to Jamala. I've always tent camped and never liked public parks for that. Now that I have the FWC I need to broaden my horizons.
I'm hauling the Jeep to up Big Bear and then to Moab in a couple of weeks. Can't wait to get out and play.
