So for mod-year 2012, I have been thinking of an awning. I was talking to a friend of mine who just put a "Foxwing" awning on their hardshell and love it:

There is also another brand, both are Australian and look great:

I think I might go for a Foxwing next year if funds permit. Anyone else using one of these?

Talk to Hugh (friend of mine, tell him Nathanael sent you) at Safari-Ltd. He has a Fox Wing on his rig.

Nice, those guys are only a couple hours away from me. I'll do that...

I've long been tempted by the Shady Boy Awning. Hadley, didn't you have one across the rear of your old shell?

Nice option, I emailed for pricing on a silver one...

Thanks!

Yup, good memory.

I liked the awning, as it stored small and opened up to cover a lot of area. I ended up selling it after about 3 years. It was okay in wind, but not great. And it took four/five minutes to set up, and most of the time I like to be very mobil. In the end I just did not use it that often.

If you are looking to get one order it from the guy who makes them in Canada. If you order it from the US it costs a couple hundred more, at least it did when I ordered mine.

Interesting awning. I like it. Did you ever get a response for pricing?

If you'd like, I can be a facilitator for shipping if it saves you some $$.
