Does anyone have an auxillary fuel tank installed on their truck, with a camper in the bed? Eventually, I would like to try messing with Waste Vegetable Oil as an alternate fuel source. This will require a secondary heated tank, in my case. Generally, these tanks are made to sit in the truck bed - however my Grandby takes up the entire 8' bed. Has anyone overcome this obstacle? My truck, specifically is a 2005 F-250 6.0 Diesel w/ 8ft bed.

Cheers!

My dad had an aftermarket tank installed in place of his stock tank, '95 F-350 7.3. Its 45 gallons. He loves it. It wouldn't work for veg oil project though.

I did a WVO conversion of a mercedes 300TD and it worked great, I recommend it, of course I put the WVO tank in the trunk. On your F250 I wonder if there is room under the bed? The other thing I've thought of for my truck with 4W camper is to build a custom tank 4-6 inches thick to fit just in front of the camper in the bed. Pushing the camper back that far should make very little difference.
