Baja

Has anyone adventured (lately) into Baja? Did you go alone or caravan with a group (this is my choice)? Any future plans to go again?

It's been since April for me, that trip was a caravan but we usually go alone. Starting to hatch a plan for December.

I live in southern baja but I just made the drive up to San Diego and back a couple of weeks ago. Lots of rain this year so everything is super green. Roads are in decent shape. Baja 1000 is coming though this week so the race course will be pretty torn up after that.

Edit: last trip was in September.. Went with another truck.. We didn't meet until we got to the dirt, so I don't know if that qualifies as a caravan? Where are you thinking on going NCH?

I usually do it alone but have had another vehicle along a few times. I will probably be heading down the first part of March and out by easter.

I don't know yet TT. I was thinking of driving Hwy 1 toward La Paz. Several years ago I spent a week near the Bahia de Concepcion. I need to do more homework!

Some of us are likely going down again in March. Baja is very sadly being paved over. I've done it alone plenty of times. But a one person bluegrass/jazz jam kinda' sucks. So that's why I prefer to go with friends.
