Hi everyone!

I just picked up a brand new 2016 Lance 825 Camper and set up my 2017 Ram 3500 4x4 diesel to be its sled.

This is a HUGE upgrade from my last set up YEARS ago in my young, bachelor life. I had a Dodge 2500 4x4 with a Lance Squire Lite 150S.

Needless to say it's a HUGE upgrade. Especially since I have a wife, 2.5 year old daughter, and possible more on the way.

We feel this is the perfect setup for the coming future and easy to add on to... via travel trailer, Jeep, or boat.

So, I'm excited. We have trips planned to Big Bear and Zion in the coming few months, interspersed with short overnight trips to the beach as well as our local favorite, Joshua Tree.

I am planning on keeping the truck as stock as possible since I use it for work. It came with the Auto-level air suspension in the rear.

I am open to any tips, tricks, advice, questions, comments, etc...

I am an open book if anyone is considering this truck or camper and I have a measuring tape if you need any more detailed specs.

Thanks all and I'll see you on the road!

I have a friend in my 4x4 club that has a setup like yours. He started with a Lance on his '06 Dodge 3500 then upgraded to an even bigger Arctic Fox with slide out. Even with the Lance he had to add air bags, rear sway bar and tranny cooler. I think he has also recently installed an exhaust brake. The truck has plenty of power but has tranny cooling issues. On our last Big Bear trip he had to unload the Jeep he was towing to make it up the back side of the mountain.

This is all second hand info and not something I would do but I don't have to keep his GF happy.

Thanks for the info! Thankfully my truck came factory equipped with airbags, trans cooler, trans temp sensor, exhaust brake, and I think a front sway bar. The truck handles the camper really well.
