Brophy Tie-Downs

Has anyone here used the Brophy tie-downs for their CO Alaskan? It is an 8'er.

Used them for a Phoenix pop-top. Worked, but not impressed. Hit a serious hole that jostled the camper around pretty good and they bent & distorted themselves & the pockets.

Apparently there are more than one type of Brophy?...…...the ones we are considering using don't go in the pockets....they fasten over the lip of the bed.

I see that now. Still not impressed. The part of them that bent was the plate the hangs down at an angle. That feature is common to both designs.
