Just got back from a month in Wyoming, camping around ( Big Sandy river is a great place) and selling the family ranch. I have a huge amount of splattered bugs on the front of my cab over. What have people done to ease or eliminate this problem? Build an air foil, spray a bug releasant on the front of the cab over or just have to scrub the front of the camper after each trip. Seems like there has to be a fix. Thanks

Nix, there is at least one old thread on this, maybe from 2014. I’ll try to find and provide a link. If memory serves, Bill Harr said the motorcycle crowd used hydrogen peroxide (don’t do it without researching, in case I’m wrong), and there were other suggestions. I’ll poke around to see what I can find.

Use these search arguments in Google. They each returned a couple of threads.

ELBOW GREASE , I use a wash and wax automotive wash, cuts the dead ones and leaves a wax surface to help the new bugs from sticking so badly.

Turtle Wax brand bug and tar remover seems to work very well.

I forgot the active ingredient but one wipes liquid on, let stand and then wipe off the slurry.

It also seems to leave a slippery invisible coating.

Thanks for the input. Lots of elbow grease and Turtle Wax bug remover got most of the bugs off. Turtle Wax leaves some wax finish on the camper and I am going to try a product called Protect All to help in future minimizing how much the bugs stick. The 108 degree temp here in Northern CA bakes the bugs on and makes them difficult to remove, Especially the mosquitos which have been feeding on moose. Thanks for the help.
