Building the New Ford Ranger

Sorry Steve, the 2019 Ranger with Crew Cab has a 5' bed, not a 6' bed.

Build your 2019 Ranger the way you want it, just not a longer bed on the Crew Cab.
Click between the Super Cab and the Crew Cab and you'll see you get more room in the bed or more room in the cab, but, not both.
P.S. if you want, change the ZIP code from mine to yours (I didn't back up enough in my web browser).

Interesting new Ranger....I like how they bought their front sheet metal from Toyota.

My 2007 Ranger is almost worn out. I’m at 68,000 miles already.

My '07 Ranger has 144,000 on it and is still running great.

You're just getting broken in!

OK, Steve.

The guys at BDS Suspension did a 2019 Ranger X build for the SEMA show in Vegas and they added 10" to the frame.

You could put on the utility box, like they did, or they can figure out how to fit the 6 foot regular bed on there.
And, you don't have to have it all tricked out like the Ranger X.

Here's the BDS Suspension Ranger X build web site with video segments.
The first video after the Introduction video (Build Update #1) shows the 10" frame section being added.

And, here's the Ranger5G web link for additional information on the 2019 Ranger, including other SEMA builds.

With the cab/chassis setup, you would have a lot of weight behind the rear axle. Maybe you could get the frame extended like BDS did.

I never really understood the make-a-small-truck-bigger thing when you you could just buy a bigger truck and drive it. But I guess it's the can't leave it stock program(ming) or simply that it's just cool to be different.

On the frame extension, I think for us camper haulers putting the tailgate down is extending the frame. With smaller trucks I'm seeing a trend towards putting longer campers on getting shorter boxes and why not the fullsize folks have been running 9 to 10 3/4 ft campers on 6 1/2 ft short boxes for years.

And the 5' will work fine for 'car' drivers not able to buy Ford cars in the near future.

Anyway, glad to see the Ranger back !

Saw a couple of the 2019 Rangers being test driven in Flagstaff months ago. Strangely, the first one was in test cameo while the one right behind it wasn’t. They didn’t seem much smaller than my F150 sadly.
