Can I mount gas lifting struts with the gutter

Just wondering if anyone has been able to install struts with the gutter inpace? Don't mind drilling through it but I really don't want to remove it. I spoke to Brenda at FWC and she didn't think their kit would work in the back. Sent her pix but haven't heard back yet. May not need them since I have ordered a speaker stand.

If you use the right strut brackets I think it's not a problem.
Don't know which ones to recommend as there are a few different ones.
I installed a gutter above the door on my Bobcat and I installed struts.
Since the bottom strut brackets are centered together you could remove the gutter add the brackets then cut a notch in the gutter to fit around the brackets.
If this method works remember to give the bracket area a good amount of sealant.

+1 to what Frank said. I cut a notch in the gutter on my old Hawk. Worked fine.
