went to Alaska last year tent camping an almost all the state parks had non potable water!! now with my camper 20+ gallon water tank would love to do a trip up there AGAIN, have any of you used chlorine tablets dropped into your onboard water tank for purification?????

I have used them in the past, but I crush the tablet and make a very light mix in a bottle first, then pour that in.
Really hate the smell/taste of chlorine.
When we went last year, I carried extra cans of water to try to avoid this situation.
Good luck, safe travels.

Check out Micropur tablets.I use these for backpacking as well and don't notice any chlorine taste. My water supply is a 5 gal Scepter can sitting on an AT holder plus a 2.5 gal Scepter can for drinking water only. It may not be practical for you to treat 20 gallons at a time but maybe you could treat 3-4 gallons separately for drinking water and then boil water as needed for coffee and other cooking needs.
