Here's something you don't see every day. I recently cut a new trail down to the river on my property. The old trail was too steep and overgrown. So I connected some game trails and cut the brush back enough to not drag brush and get ticks. In the process I found this tree that grew into itself. I'm think another tree fell on it while it was a sapling and 2 branches got crushed together. The tire in the pic is now gone. 
The area above this trail was used for many years to dump farm debris. I cleaned most of it up years ago. But things still appear from the ground and brush from time to time.
