Disconnect tent to enable roof lift panel replacement?

I'm replacing the damaged lift panels in my 2001 Grandby with the newer factory panels. A difficult part of the job is hooking up the little lengths of elastic that run from the lift panels to the tent fabric and enable the tent to fold correctly when the roof is lowered. I managed to get them connected (poorly) at the back of the camper. Now that I'm installing the front lift panels, I'm wondering if I can release the bottom of the tent to allow me to snake an arm in to properly connect those elastic strips. Any suggestions?

Many thanks!

I just got off the phone with FWC and the gal said that the "Lift Panel straps" rivet to the tent. Also, it is a two man job. I was going to do it myself but I'm rethinking it now.
