I'm not sure if the Lounge is the right place for this post. Maybe we need a history / natural history forum? Just thinking off the top of my head.

I found a detailed article on Ghost Town Explorers about San Lucas Canyon Road that some may find of interest. I thought the before/after photos were pretty cool.

There's a neat spot at the top of the canyon that I call the Promontory that I've wanted to camp at since it was shared with me. The Racetrack is visible from there. Really cool stuff. Thanks for sharing the link.

In addition to great views of Saline Valley, The Racetrack can also be seen.
