Early Spring San Rafael Swell/Moab trip

We spend a lot of time poking around the desert, and since we're planning our next little winter excursion, I thought I'd post pics of last spring's quick hit. We spent our first night on BLM land in the San Rafael Swell near a couple slot canyons. We got in late and set up quickly in the dark. This is the view we woke up to.

Took two of the dogs through one of the tamer slot canyons (we've hiked it before, so knew it was 4 legged friendly).

I love the pictures of the slot canyons. On our list of places to visit.

North or south of I-15, it is hard to go wrong in that country for scenery.

We have come to like the canyon area of Utah,after our trip late Oct this year.Beautiful scenery,and no heat or bugs.
