I thought I would give those of us using a Slide Lock with an Engel a heads up. After all those washboard and rough roads in Baja last spring my MT45 came loose on the Slide Lock Mount on this last trip to KOFA NWR and Skull Rock (which incidentally was a great trip.)
I removed the fridge today expecting to see a broken and battered Slide Lock but it was still in good shape and very secure on the shelf. It turns out the two rear feet that attach to the fridge and are secured by the Slide Lock came off the fridge. The two front feet were about to come off. I'll be re-attaching with thread lock and construction adhesive. If it were not for the (what I thought was redundant when I installed it) cam lock securing strap I would have had some serious damage but everthing is still working and in good order.
