I don’t ever recall seeing rays like these The sun is setting, and these are the Wallowa Mountains, a good 35 miles to the east of us My suspicion is the light hitting the Wallowa peaks is bouncing back to the clouds over the valley.

Light pollution from Boise? I have a similar photo, but it's actually the sun behind the Sierra Nevada peaks hitting the mid level cloud deck. The photo wasn't taken with a phone, so I won't post it.

A beautiful morning out here at Fort Sagebrush! We’re enjoying a display of rainbows that has lasted roughly an hour. Here is a complete double rainbow that just might win the prize for today.

My only regret about moving to Sagebrush country is not doing it sooner.

Here is a double rainbow I took in Alturas, CA (south of Lakeview, OR) where some friends of ours live. This was taken with a phone, though I touched it up lightly with Photoshop. My old phone took pretty drab images and needed light enhancement.
