Hi Jim,

I'm going to move this over to the Four Wheel Campers forum where it will have a much better chance of being seen by a qualifiied person.

I don't have any personal experience with the Falcon Model on the Dakota, but it should handle great.

You might want to highly consider the Finch Model too.

It is only 10" longer, but will make the camper much more comfortable & useable.

Here are some pictures of the Falcon Model on the Dodge Dakota.

Happy Camping !

Let me strongly suggest that 10" is A LOT of space in these campers, and I doubt the overhang would bother you.

Go with the Finch if you can. It looks like the 2010 crewcab Dakota has a bed length of 5'4". So it would stick out the back 3 less inches then it does on my crewcab Colorado with a bed length of 5"1".

I did not mention in my post that my Dodge Dakota Quad Cab is 2004 wwith 5' bed.
