Foot switch for faucet?

I am in the planning stages of adding a foot switch for my faucet to conserve water. I thought I saw someone had installed a hip switch but I can't seem to find it again. I am thinking of installing a trolling motor foot switch to the micro switches of the faucet but I also would like to keep the functionality of the faucet handle as well. I would love to hear if anyone has ever done this or has some install advice.

It is my post, here are the pictures. It is wired like the pump switch. To use the switch you must have the pump switch off and the faucet open. Lean on the switch and it starts the pump. I like it but the wife does not, to high for her. You can still use as normal.

Thats the one I was looking for but I would still like to have it wired to the microswitches. I may just have to do some experimentation.

It is wired to the FWC switch. One wire to each side, so both switches function the same only the belly switch is momentary contact.

Is there anyway you could post a pic of the wiring and where you sourced the switch?

I had the switch, my uncle worked in the field and I got a lot of stuff when he passed. Google " lever micro switch " and you will find lots on Ebay and Amazon. I bent the lever and covered it with shrink tube. See wire diagram below.

I finally got around to installing my foot switch. I ended up installing an SAE plug so I could disconnect it if need be. We just got back from a 5 day trip and it really seems to save water as well as keeping the counter a bit drier when washing hands. Thanks to Billharr for the wiring assistance.

Such a good idea, I may need to do this. Taking the family of 4 out for 3 days boondocking and need to see how much water we use. This could conserve it a lot.
