Wow, my 2015 Hawk would now cost almost $3k more! I want to get the thermal pack-looks like I need to get on that quickly.

I'm glad I have my 2013 Hawk and held onto it through a job loss. I couldn't afford to buy a new one
That being said, for those who are still looking, the value is there, especially given the most of us get sooooo much use out of them.

Curious as to the thermal pack increase. That must be some serious space age material!

its due to cost to hand make each one, there is a lot of labor involved

Man I love FWC's but the price is getting insane for a small truck camper. At the same time stuff is getting cheaper like the overhead storage bins, instead of the nicer older units with doors :-(

It seems like they've been raising their prices every year or so and I guess at some point, sales will decline. They are trying to find that balance/cross over point of the supply / demand curve. I hope ATC doesn't follow suit but I suspect we'll see a change with their pricing soon too. Don't get me wrong, both FWC and ATC have been great to me I just dread the thought if I ever want to get a new one.

Yeah, they are really getting pricey, especially with certain options. Reading through the list, the self contained with shower and toilet went up $1600 dollars! That is a huge increase. It does seem the new owners are looking to see how much they can raise prices and still maintain sales.

With new the prices they will be in Alaskan and Hallmark territory. I'm not saying FWC is not worth premium money, but the utility, functionality, and price always struck a balance. And now, that balance will not be there, IMO.

This is why our used campers hold their value so well.
Haha, that's the best way to look at it - if you're already in !

Just as a casual observer I agree it seems like the mfr hasn't been missing annual increases. Though I know from my own unrelated experience that it's tougher to "catch up" after years of flat pricing.

There are a number of options increasing +40%. Increasing labour costs ? I only hope the workers are getting a good chunk of it.

With what a new FWC costs now, It is insane to leave something so expensive out on the elements when not in use. I see guys with 30-$40,000 bass boats do the same. Faded and mildew. So much resale lost in just a few years because of premature wear.

Yep, I looked at a 3 year old loaded Grandby for sale a couple months back....had 15 years of wear on it already. Needed a TON of work, nuts people treat them that way.
