FWC Dinette Choice

Great photos of your Grandby! I think my limited knowledge can perhaps decode this. The Grandby is 144" along roof length and 96" in floor length while the Hawk we will be ordering tomorrow has a 128" roof and 80" floor. The Hawk size would not allow the King Size extension seen in your photos; the Hawk bed extension already covers perhaps 55% of the kitchen counter. Size matters.

Your King size bed is possible due to your 16" longer floor accommodating it. Heck in a Hawk 16" beyond the current extension would be damn near to the door :D.

But whatever...we are "happy campers" placing an order tomorrow.

Our ETA is about 1500 hrs.....but weather is now an issue...might be 1600 hrs. Look for dark gray '05 Tundra.

The dealership has one or two of everything. You should be able to take a look at just about every option in the various campers. They just got a bunch of campers delivered the day before yesterday.

Ordered the Hawk...we did order a side dinette and damn near all the rest of the options...added the side awning after seeing the awing and the fact that my much better half, My Bride, said she would appreciate an awning.

Found out much from Jeff...first, the King Bed, is available [did not ask cost and yes it is not listed as an option] but as I guessed in a Hawk the slider would almost touch the door! For the two of us, Queen is great and fewer cushions to find a home for.

'Ace!' was there getting his new FWC installed; nice meeting him and yes, he is a "good guy".

Trip was wild...84 in the Gorge looked like a scene from Mad Max...EB on the way home it snowed hard from just up the grade East of the casino to here in Enterprise and it is still snowing. Partial chain controls over "cabbage hill"; not certain of the need. Left HR at 0700; home at 1144 with numerous stops.

Deliver date is guessed at sometime in February.

Good on ya Phil. Fun to have it on its way.
Thanks for the further input on the bed rug. After the first little scratch in the truck bed today hauling shelving, Decided to have a spay on liner done. Was going to wait for warm weather and roll on myself. But by then might be twice the work getting rid of rust!
