My 2009 FWC Hawk has a brown rocker switch mounted to the cabinet below and to the right of the 3-way refrigerator about 18 inches from the floor. When I turn it on, I hear a fan somewhere to the top rear of the refrigerator but I can't find any reference to this switch either in the Hawk owner's manual or in the refrigerator manual (Model RM 2354 R:cool:.

Anyone know what this switch is for?

Thanks in advance.

I believe it's to cool your fridge down when it is working hard in extreme conditions. Above 5000' and in really hot temps.

that is a refrigerator vent fan switch

there is no real need to run that switch, unless you want to

we wanted to put it in for your conveience (more that anything else)

it will help cool the refrig. on hot days

BUT, there is an automatic thermostat behind the refrigerator that will turn the fan on automatically if it gets too hot for some reason

it doesn't matter if the switch inside the camper is on or off

the fan is only installed on the campers with the larger 3.0 cu.ft refrigerator/freezer.

hope this helps with the mystery
