FWC mattress update

@Jonny....sorry for the delay in replying - yeah, I think a good piece of memory foam plus the mats will be fine. Just make sure you get a thick enough piece of foam, at least 4" IMO. Good news is that if you don't find that setup comfortable, you can go with something else, as it's not going to require a major investment. I would definitely get the mats for the bottom layer, if you go the foam route...as I said earlier, the mat pieces act as a box spring of sorts, and keeps your butt off the camper floor/roof. I'm not usually a fan of memory foam, and I don't have it as my mattress at home, but in a camper I've found it works surprisingly well. Yes, it does stiffen up in colder weather, but if you're like me, you're doing most of your camping in spring/summer/fall, and not in winter as much, if at all. I live in Wyoming, and it's colder here than most parts of the country, but I still like the foam in the camper. Good luck.
