I heard that too Frank-with the drought and all probably the dam stays up! Yep, them were the days of "big time salvage archaeology (actually the end of allot of it)"! Just talking to Don and those that went before him-what adventures and fun they had--to bad so much had to be destroyed so we could advance civilization and populate the desert with lot's of lights and other things that didn't belong (okay-we got some power too that helped the common folk-and no big projects-no big time ark funding)! Well at least they salvaged allot of it and allot of that data and the methods they used helped to train people like me and lot's of others in the late 60's/70's. so that when they started to dam up more rafting rivers and hire folks to do the next step up or back [read academic vrs government archaeology] "public archaeology/cultural resource management"-we had a starting point (sometimes). Allot of that stuff that was under water is popping up again due to the on going drought and providing opportunities for the next generation of arks and others to study our past-a second or a third time. Hmmm, wonder if they need a volunteer!
