We're in Nevada and will head for Mojave National Preserve on Monday or Tuesday as we meander toward Woodland for some minor tweaking on our Hawk. I'd welcome any suggestions for a good place to camp. We've been on the road since April 17 and are quite comfortable -- zero motel nights! It doesn't look like there are any National Forest Campgrounds nearby. There are a couple of CA State Parks, but they look "pricey". Thanks for any help.

What day are you planning on rolling in to Woodland ?

We are working on a setting up a primitive / sheltered / free camping spot here at our new building for our customers coming through town or coming in for service work.

It is on the side of the warehouse, private, blocked from the wind, covered from the rain, should be quiet, and nobody driving by can see you from the road.

And you will have access to the gate, so you can lock yourself in the parking lot for the night and not have to worry about anyone bothering you.

:)

I just don't know if we got the combination lock on the gate yet ?

I'm here in the office today (Sat. 06/04/2011) until 4:30 CA time if you want to call.

800-242-1442

Their won't be anyone here tomorrow, on Sunday.

thanks

The other place many of our customers have seemed to like in the past was . . .

Lake Solano County Park
8691 Pleasants Valley Road
Winters, CA 95694

Reservations: (530) 795-2990

Nice little campground on a small river (Putah Creek).

This water comes the bottom of the Lake Berryessa Dam a mile or so upstream.

Should be quiet up there right now.

This campground is approx. 30 - 40 minutes away from our shop.
