Happy 4th of July!

Enjoy the 4th of July. But remember it is more than BBQ and fireworks. It is "Independence Day". Take a few to think about this and talk about it with your children. 229 years after the signing of the Declaration of Independence it's not a done deal. The great experiment is still just that. A work in progress. We still have threats from within and without. We must be ever vigilant and willing to work and take risks to make this great country continue to survive and flourish. As bad as things look sometimes it's still the greatest country the world has ever seen! Long live the republic. Enjoy the holiday and be safe!

I listened to a reading of the Constitution today. A good reminder of just how ground breaking it was. Odd line (at least to me nowadays) about the Indians in there. It is a great country. Lets not stop trying to make it better.
