I thought it was a hard shell cowboy hat protector.

From what I've heard, it varies from district to district, even ranger to ranger whether they're legal during fire restrictions.

I'll have to get my out and take a few photos. Its an early version, custom made back when they were first coming out. It stores flat.

craig333, so far we have not read or seen anywhere that the "campfire in a can" is not legal during fire restrictions however we still are exercising extreme caution when using it. I feel like you can never be too cautious when it comes to fire danger, especially after what we've experienced so far this summer.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if the restrictions vary depending on where you are.
