A few weeks ago I took a trip to Escalante to explore the Box-Death Hollow Wilderness Area. The road in was built during the Great Depression Era to the wilderness which climbs to 9,000 feet. with an unusual bridge along the way.

I spent a couple of days stuck in the mud on the Cottonwood Caynon road last year.I rained for 2 days and the clay roads turned to muck.

Been there..... They really mean it when they post "Impassable When Wet"!!!

I still have clay stains from 15 years ago under the truck.
