Ah yes, mattole. This is why i plan on naming my pics after every trip now. I can barely remember what I had for breakfast.

Looks like a nice place. Will have to put it on the list. I have been up in that area but not as far as the beach.

That is a beautiful area, last winter we caught a spate of amazing weather between Chrismas and New Year and hiked the Lost Coast Trail - my wife camped here a couple of nights with the dog and then picked my son, daughter and I up south at Shelter Cove. We saw no other people until our third day, near Shelter Cove, but did see lots of wildlife and spectacular sea-scape the entire 20 some mile walk. I'd go again in a heart beat!

Do notice the bear boxes there. Wouldn't want to be there if an earthquake happens, the triangle (don't ask me to name the faults) is just offshore.
