My boy and I went hiking and off-roading in Idyllwild CA. I had not been there in years. I told him not to kill me off on my first serious hike in years. He chose a 3 mile long one. What he did not know was how steep it was. It was great scenery but seriously steep. Since I lost 54 pounds recently my heart did alright but my leg muscles were barking.

That night we found a totally isolated place to park on a road only hunters normally go on. Totally quiet and peaceful.

Next day we decided to hit some trails in the truck. Great scenery and some ruts do to summer storms.

Discovered several more places to boondock in the area.

Headed home Sunday afternoon. Kayaked in Mission Bay Monday.

dorocks, really enjoyed your photos. The granite, jefferies, and sugar pines of the peninsular range sure brought back memories. Thanks!
