Newbie here, going to pick up my new Outfitter Caribou Lite 6.5 in a few weeks after I retire.

Would like to hear opinions on the advantages/disadvantages of internal (in the truck bed) versus external tie downs.

Thanks

i have used Torklift framemounts for years and have done a lot of off an on road use and never had any problems with them

External tie downs are quicker and easier to use if you take the camper off and on often like I do.

Internal tie downs are good for offroading where external tie down and turnbuckle hardware may be possible to catch on something. The internal tie downs allow rock sliders to be installed, whereas the Torklift do not.

Right now I'm planning on picking it up on 17 March. Weather here or there could change those plans.

I will definitely post about my trip home.
