Jon the Fisherman man

No, but this a notorious problem with Fords and Dodges and what ever that other brand is called. The latest issue of Diesel Power mag. has an article addressing this problem. I did about the same prep process but didn't use much paint but rather undercoat. I have never used Rust Reformer but have used something called Ospho which I have been using on boats for the last 30 yrs. or so. It's all about the prep. when you do a job like this, the more time you spend the better the results. Take a look under a Toyota and you'll see another reason why people like them so much, all the recalls and bashing aside. To do this right you're going to spend a good day and a half grinding and scraping and masking to make it right, but if you're going to keep the truck for a while it's worth it.
