Okay, so I am going to go pick up an Alaskan in a few weeks and I want to make sure I bring the right LEDs to change out all the interrior lights.

Has anyone done this to their alaskan yet? If so, what bulb is required, and how many lights did you change?

Also I was wanting to put 3 exterrior lights on the camper, 1 on the back and 1 on each side, has anyone done anything like this??

Should have no problem. The LED's only take a fraction of the current.
Whats your reason for changing them?

Just so I draw less from the camper batteries. Figure I can last longer in Dry camps if all the lights are drawing less power.

I used these for the dome lights and porch light- http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008H08LQU/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, they are very bright (much brighter than originals) and are a white light. Then these for the small dining table lights- http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0093L2IP2/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, they are a nice warm color and are not very bright (about the same as originals). And these for the reading area in the cabover section- http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007M48PH2/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1, they are a nice warm white color and very bright. Hope this helps-

verynice, How did you get those bulbs to work in the Alaskan? The bulbs in the alaskan have a large brass cup that plugs into the housing. The bulbs you recommended have 2 long prongs. The other bulbs have a few adapters (one being the same thing as the "brass cup") but it is much smaller than the orginal and therefore will not fit into the housing. I maually help the new LED bulbs in place and turned the light on and they do infact work, just not sure how to make them fit...

Not sure what I should do...

The little 2 prong ones fit in the dinette light fixtures, if you need to, you can just clip the prongs off an 1/8" to get the covers on. Mine fit without trimming. The "stick on" ones for the kitchen and porch can simply be hard wired and all the different bases thrown in the trash. On my porch light I put two of the stick ons and it's ridiculously bright. The reading light bulbs simply twist in. I can take pics if it helps- Nate

Did you end up getting it working? Mine's a 94' so I'm pretty sure they use the same lamps...

Some pictures would probably help..... I plan on trying to get it done sometime today or tomorrow.

10/4, I'll get some pics later today after I've completed my wife's "Sunday Chore List :(" ......
