I am in Jackson, WY. Looking to buy a Four Wheel Camper - Hawk for my 2002 Toyota Tundra. Stan at FWC suggests a Hawk built since 2002, but maybe others would work.

Will travel to pick up.

You can do an Eagle, Fleet, Kestrel, or Hawk on the 2000-2006 access cab Tundra trucks.

The Hawk fits, but can be sitting a little tall in the truck bed.

Might be best to call me in advance so I can give you more details.

Lots of fit differences unfortunately

Tks

Hi Bob,

I think I can help you. I bought an 06 Kestrel for my 06 Tundra and had to add about 2.5 inches to the bottom so that it would fit the height of my truck bed. No big deal. I did learn however, that the 00 to 04 Tundras have a shorter truck bed sidewall ht than the 05-06 models. The Kestrel fits the 00-04 Tundras as is, the Hawk will fit the 05-06 models just right. You can put a Hawk on an 00-04 Tundra but it will ride about 2-3 inches higher than ideal in the bed. Should still work IMO if you mount it securely.

Good luck,

Eric

I think I have the right Tundra bed height numbers. The 1st gen. Tundra std. cab and access cabs had the same bed @ 17" high. The double(4dr) was 20" and has many dimensions larger than the other two because the double was based on the Sequoia. Gen. 2 Tundra beds are all the same 22" high. But they call the access, double and the 4dr. a crew.
