been traveling for years but here's my first sketch-a-day attempt to record the experience

a couple of months on the road

sharing with fellow travelers gave incentive to continue

one of the things I like about travel, it's where the travelers are

but I really do this stuff for me

"Winters Journal"

growing older so much of my earlier travels have sadly been forgotten

the pleasurable practice most certainly assists in trippen retention

other-wise these wonder-full experiences are so short-lived

 

[Bad Habit]

Thank you for sharing these, such a joy to go through them and see your travels from a very artistic and relaxed view. Beautiful work, hope to see much more to come.

every page in my book

"wandering western caribbean"

totally recalls another day on the road

nearer home

"long weekend kayaking and camping at Tomales Bay"

the experience of sketching creates an anchor snugly set in that place and time
I can so see myself sitting there

now it's just something I do


"springtime wander"


it's my practice

I'm just making memories

"circling central california"

at home these books give me much pleasure

I try not to do adventures

"South to the Salton Sea"

just ventures with nothing added

traveling with my lady

"Wandering Western Costa Rica"

things are better planned

solo again just watching the road unfold for a couple of weeks

"On the Springtime Road to Southern Oregon"

just turns spirit loose

sauntering

"Tripping North"

seems to suit me

the experience

"Return to the Mayan Coast"

is always different

these are areas I usually bypass

going elsewhere
