Renovating my 10' 69 Alaskan NCO

Have damaged wire between 2 4 pin connectors that one end plugs in the Alaskan. Question there is a 5 inch wire coming off between the 2 connectors- No place obvious place to connect this leg on the camper. what is it's purpose.

First picture: You'll probably have to disassemble the fixture to find some sort of sticker or marking indicating what the intended voltage is. Never seen such a fixture that could run on either, but I suppose that it is possible.

Second picture: Looks like a power point, AKA cigarette lighter, to me. The length-wise ribbed outer barrel is a very common feature on older versions of this type of socket.
