Here is a picture of how the new backsplash turned out. Ended up having to replace a few 2x2's that had some dry rot. I thought the backsplash panel looked good and solved the problem of the damaged wood panel from roadwash.

I used some plastic transition molding that slides between the two panels.

Looks normal to me. Might be the angle. Dodge 2500 with 8' NCO.
