We just installed a new camper on a Ford Raptor.

This camper is not actually intended to go on this truck, but it still looked good.

This actual "Finch" camper is headed for South America to go on a double cab toyota hilux.

The owner of the truck already owns a Hawk Model, and that Hawk Model will be going on the Raptor when they both arrive via cargo container in a a month or two.

The Raptor is just the transport vehicle to make it more cost effective for exporting both items.

The truck was pretty cool though !

Awesome off-road suspension, factory skid plated, beefy tires, really short wheel base (extra cab truck but it only has the short 5'8" bed).

Just thought I would post the pics for you.

Thanks for the posting the photos Stan.

Although I must admit I find the Finch more interesting than the Raptor. But I am a Toyota guy, I would like to see photos of the Hilux-Finch combination.

Interesting combination, but a bit scary! The payload of a Raptor is really low and Ford specifically states that you should not put a camper on that truck...way too tippy!

x2... see if you can get him to send some pics when he gets the goods!

It should be OK.

The pop-up campers will be fine on the Raptor (just my personal opinion).

I don't know why it would be any tippier that the other Ford F-150's ?

The Raptor suspension might have more articulation, but the truck is the same more or less.

It is basically a Ford F-150 with a more "off roadable" suspension.

I didn't really see any other big differences ?

I know it can't be any worse than customer putting a 2000 lbs. cabover on a Ford F-150 ?

These guys usually don't have any problems either ?

:)

The Raptor actually has a wider track width than a standard F150. I would take one in a heart beat!! They are Baja race ready from the factory.... Mmmmmm.... suspension travel and high horse power......

Oh yeah the camper looks good too!
