Thought I'd introduce myself with a question , I have a 1964 Alaskan 10 foot
non cabover , I don't camp that much anymore but do use the camper for the
occasional overnight event type of thing , so my plan is to put it on my 18 foot
wood deck car trailer rather than sliding it onto my pickup , just hook and go
park and drop , no fuss no muss . so as to my question ; I live in Washington
State and my camper is registered and licensed ( tabs are currently expired )
does anybody know if I need to put a current tab on the camper to haul /
use it on my licensed ( up to date ) car trailer ? Thanks , Kris

Kris....First...welcome to the crowd

I purchased a CO last year in Washington...it had it's own plate....as did the vehicle it was sitting on.....

my bet is that in Washington you will need a plate on it...everything is plated

but you should pose that question to a local Department of Motor Vehicles or a local highway officer

after just returning from Washington recently....for a 3 day halibut fishing season...ugh....I could make another comment, but I'll keep it civil

welcome to the group
yes you need a plate for your camper even if you haul it on your truck for the state taxes everything that puts weight on the roadways for wear and tear. I live in Seattle and tabs are cheap for the camper, truck is another matter.

I kinda figured I would need to get new tabs for my camper ,
just wishful thinking on my part , It just seems over the top
to pay tonnage on my pickup ( for towing a car trailer ) and
tabs for the camper if its being hauled on the car trailer , I
can understand having to have tabs for the camper if hauled
on my pickup , oh well so it goes ...
