We had a nice float down the river this weekend. Great time of year to get out and about.

It does indeed. We have been guilty of cooling off there trying to escape the summer heat. Also a nice place when it is foggy on the coast. This time of year we only saw one other person.

looks like an Oru kayak? how is that?
Yes, we are 4 years in on these ones (Inlet model) and have many many nautical miles and great trips under our belt. When close to home we can fit two of them in the trunk of a Honda Civic for quick strike missions. My wife can (and often does) grab hers and goes for afternoon solo paddles in local creeks. For longer trips we stow them in the back seat of the truck. They came with backpack carrying bags and only weigh about 20 lbs each. We often hike them into places that no one else dares to drag a heavier boat. They fold out into a 10' boat that is very stable and lends itself to some adventurous portaging due to its light weight. If and when they fail, we will immediately replace them with the same model. My wife and I are on the water several time a week in one vessel or another. We call the Oru the marriage counselor! The bliss of tranquil floating with good conversation and shared adventures brings us closer with every paddle. They are also the ultimate bird watching machine!
