Saw this oven in Camping World. No thermostat though. I have a bad tendency to toss something on the barbecue, grab a beer, chat a bit, then suddenly remember I need to turn the (by now piece of charcoal) food .

This might interest some people too.

Me, I"d probably catch it on fire getting too close to the campfire.

These might be handy too.

Back country brownies???

That little oven looks cool!!! Where am I going to put it though????

I guess if I had a big Lance camper or something I could carry it....Wait, then I couldn't get to the back country for my brownies.....Life is a series of trade offs..I can do without the brownies til I get home from the back country:D

brownies while camping

Hey TT,

We have done brownies on the fire while camping. Put the mix in a large pan and cover it with foil. The bottom gets a little burned but you can cut that section off. Doesn't work as well as an oven, but good enough to taste good in camp. Then again, doesn't all food taste better in camp!? Besides, it is almost worth it just to get the envy of fellow campers when they smell the brownies cooking.;)

I'd be real interested in a review of that oven. It sure would be nice for my custom cheezy bread and making pizza.

it seems like more and more of the coleman stuff is cheap import stuff, like you find on alibaba.com and at twice the price.
